I can't tell you how many times a wind came up while at the beach and the wind sensor closed my awning. The wind sensor is to close the awning while you ARE there. It is not that hard to open it again when you get back unless you have a blister on your finger. The awning is not something that has to be put down and left there the entire time you are in place.īingo I never trust the wind sensor to do what I can do myself and that is close the awning when I am not there. Ease of movement is what I like about the powered awning. If I am going to be away for a period of time in my car I put up the awning. The second visit is for the dealer to open the package and discover that the wrong model was shipped. This first trip is to have the dealer verify that your sensor has failed and for them to order a replacement sensor and bay electronics from Weather Pro. Yours should still be under warranty so you will have to make two or three trips to a dealer to get it replaced. Those sensors only last from one to two years before they fail. After going to the owner's manual, I find that if a beeping sound is heard I need to turn "off" the wind sensor feature and contact a trained expert to fix the thing. ![]() When I disengage the wind sensor function on the control box the beeping sound goes off.
